Coding – Python Programming

Turn Ideas into Reality with Python!

Imagine your child building their own games, designing apps, or programming robots—Python makes it possible! As one of the easiest programming languages to learn, Python introduces kids to coding in a fun, interactive, and engaging way. Beyond programming, it develops problem-solving, creativity, and logical thinking—skills essential for success in a tech-driven world.

Frequently Asked

Questions

What age is right for a child to start learning Python?

toggle-icon

Python is generally a good fit once a child is comfortable reading and typing confidently, which for most kids is around age 8 to 9 and up — Explorer Academy's program uses age and grade to place each child at the right level, from true beginners through intermediate and advanced learners.

Can I try before enrolling in the Python program?

toggle-icon

Yes, Explorer Academy offers a free demo class where your child can experience a sample coding activity before you commit to the Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced level program.

Do you offer Python coding classes for kids in Surrey or only Delta?

toggle-icon

Explorer Academy is based in Delta, BC and actively serves families from across Surrey including areas like Newton, South Surrey and Cloverdale with the same in-person Python program and free demo class available to both Delta and Surrey residents.

What comes after the Beginner Level — is there a clear progression path?

toggle-icon

Yes, the curriculum is structured across Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels, so a child who completes the 3-month Beginner block has a defined next step rather than repeating the same material.

Does the Python program align with what my child is learning in BC schools?

toggle-icon

While the program isn't a direct BC curriculum replacement, it reinforces the computational thinking, logic and problem-solving skills the BC curriculum's Applied Design, Skills and Technologies (ADST) strand emphasizes, giving Surrey and Delta students hands-on practice beyond classroom coding exposure.

At Explorer’s Academy we empower young coders to shape the future!
