The Boxing program at Explorer’s Academy aims to:

  • Teach basic boxing stance, footwork, and punching techniques.
  • Improve strength, agility, and overall fitness.
  • Develop discipline, focus, and self-confidence.
  • Instill self-defense principles in a controlled environment.

Session

1-hour sessions, twice a week

  • Warm-Up (10 min): Dynamic stretching, jump rope, and light cardio.
  • Technique Training (20 min): Learning and practicing punches, footwork, and defense.
  • Drills & Combinations (20 min): Applying techniques through guided drills.
  • Cool-Down (10 min): Stretching, breathing exercises, and recovery tips.

Duration: 3 months

Focus: Introduction to boxing fundamentals and fitness

  • Learning basic boxing stance, guard, and footwork.
  • Introduction to jabs, crosses, and hooks (shadow boxing).
  • Practicing movement drills to improve coordination.
  • Building core strength and stamina through bodyweight workouts.
  • Partner exercises with focus mitts (no-contact).
  • Emphasis on discipline, respect, and controlled practice.
